Work Placement

Work placement provides students with hands-on experience across various industries as part of their vocational education. These placements are mandatory for many courses and enable students to apply their classroom knowledge, explore different career options, and develop essential skills for their future careers.

Sign & Print Career Connections

Sign & Print Career Connections is an initiative aimed at attracting new talent to the print, sign, and graphics sector. Launched over a decade ago, it engages students through career expos, showcasing diverse opportunities in creative, technical, and administrative roles. The program connects students with industry experts and training providers, fostering interest in visual communications careers.

Sydney Access

Sydney Access is a program that provides opportunities for high-achieving and motivated students enrolled in HSC Industry Curriculum Framework courses. It helps students secure work placements by allowing them to choose from available opportunities on their website, with support from their teachers.

ABOUT

Parramatta School Industry Partnership which trades as AusSIP is a not for profit organisation which provide work placement services for students in NSW in Year 11 and 12 who study vocational education and training subjects (VET) courses in schools across Western Sydney and Lower North Shore, Hills and Northern Beaches to North Sydney. AusSIP assists in negotiating and planning work placements between schools and industry partners. The business has a team of professions to manage the work placement process. AusSIP assists students to discover their career aspirations and develop skills for the workplace. They work with hundreds of employers to create opportunities. 64% students get jobs out of their places that AusSIP provides for them.

Since its inception in 1995, AusSIP has worked with over 30,000 students and school leavers. AusSIP continues to play a crucial role in connecting young people with employers and post school training opportunities helping students gain valuable work experience and supporting their transition into the world of work.
